Very well located with everything nearby. The room is in the 3rd floor and has all amenities and good space for a couple. It is perfect except the access, which is an old wooden spiral stair. For those with large or heavy luggage it is hard to get in without help.
The owner is very nice and check-in: check out procedures are relatively clear and simple.
The owner always leaves the door of the aisle of the 3rd floor unlocked and did not gave us its key or instruction on how to open it when it is locked. This led to an awful occurrence during my stay. In a night the guest of the another room locked from inside the door of the aisle. Then, when we arrived at 11:00PM, we could not open the door to get in our room. Despite we ringed the door bell and knocked the door, the guests of the other rooms did not open it for us. We tried to contact the owner but could not reach him. He was not in the city that night.
Unable to enter to our room for bath and sleep, I and my wife we had to walk around to find a hotel with available room and at reasonable price, which was very difficult task because it was high season in Split, and the prices ranged from 280 to 380 Euros per night. Finally, at 2:30AM, after negotiating, we got a room at Adriana Hotel by 240 Euros.
Early in the morning the owner replied me with instructions on how to open the door so we could get in and take what we need for our tour. The owner also promised to refund us 240 Euros. We are waiting to be reimbursed.
