On the hillside across the fjord from the airport and town, it was in the middle of having an extension when we were there (boy, Icelandic builders are hardy) so was a little out of sorts. That said, it is kept in immaculate order, and Iām sure the extension will be great. Currently itās just 8 rooms, and wonāt be so much bigger next year, but will have an internal lift so you donāt have to go outside to get to the lower rooms.
There isnāt a restaurant, but the breakfast buffet is a good start to the day.
If you have a car (and you really need one if you are traveling independently around here) itās a short drive to downtown with a couple of gnarly turns after dark.
