Everything about this property was exceptional. Closeness to the beach, to the port, to buses, to eateries, to gift shops. I LOVED the staff--they were exceptional in their service. I would only recommend that the property install microwaves in their kitchens.

The rooms looked like the photos but wifi did not work at all and our room was on the lower floor which we were unaware was in somewhat of a basement so we had no service as well (not even on the balcony). We requested that the wifi be fixed twice but the issue was never resolved so we would need to leave the hotel room to access service/data and use our phones. Besides this the room was clean, however, because the room was in the basement it consistently had a damp smell to it which soaked into our clothes as well. Our “fresh” toilet paper rolls were also clearly wet and then dried at some point prior to being placed in our room. Overall an okay hotel as I’m not sure if upper level rooms had the same issue but our experience was pretty unexpected and inconvenient.

From our check in-to check out-& everything in between, Mathias was a very helpful & friendly face at Ippokampos Town Apts. We stayed 9 nights - the first night in a 3 bed apt. then moved next door to a 2 bed apt. (only 2 people but this was the only availability to do that). Both rooms were great but we preferred the layout of the 2 bed (8 nights) as it had external kitchen & bathroom windows and just felt much more light and airy. All the basics you need for a stay are provided in the kitchen - we planned on eating out breakfast but instead bought food from the grocery store & loved our chill time in the morning without even leaving the apt. Against type for us but we just found the apt. so very relaxing. The room was very clean, bed & pillows comfortable (only minor issue bed protector & bottom sheet too small for bed so kept untucking/shifting: suggest bigger sheets for better guest comfort), housekeeping was good, adequate closet space (we travel 'carry on' quantity only), shower pressure & temp was consistently great during our stay (what a score!), water stayed inside shower so no post shower floor drying (another win!). Plenty of shops, restaurants, beach all within easy walking distance - even to heart of the Chora was great walking distance. Ippokampos beach club gives 50% bed discount AND provides towels (Nick is fantastic). All in all we loved our stay here in Naxos (our second time to Naxos) and would not hesitate to stay at the Ippokampos Town Apts. again.

In general, it was a nice appartement. It was clean and had a good location. The main issue we had was the noise. The sound isolation is quite poor and therefor you would hear every car or motor that would pass by the appartement. Also, the shower head was broken and would spray water everywhere. The drying rack at the front of the appartement was also broken. If they would improve these things it would be a great accommodation.

Non si trova vicino la spiaggia!

L'appartamento è nuovo e in perfette condizioni di pulizia, peccato che fosse un seminterrato e non vicino alla spiaggia come si capiva dall'inserzione. Il personale, molto cortese, il giorno dell'arrivo ha chiamato per dire che aveva avuto dei problemi con expedia per la geolocalizzazione della struttura. Peccato che anche il nome non fosse lo stesso, non Ippokampos ma la "sede staccata" Marileta appartaments. (cercate su google maps)

The room was dark, smaller and in poorer condition than the listing photos suggested. There was a persistent smell of cigarettes and garbage, apparently coming from the waste/service area directly outside the windows. The air conditioning was poor, and we also found hair in the shower and bed. We were travelling with our four-year-old son and did not feel comfortable staying for the rest of the booking. On the first evening, I raised concerns about the smell, size and general condition of the room and asked to move. After checking the computer, staff told me that no other rooms were available, leaving me with the clear impression that nothing could be done. The next morning, I arranged and paid for alternative accommodation and checked out early. Only after I returned the key, mentioned a refund and contacted Hotels.com did the hotel offer a room at another property. By then, I had already paid elsewhere, based on the information their staff had given me. I requested a refund only for the unused nights. The hotel refused, which was within its rights, but then claimed we had given them no opportunity to resolve the problem. That is not what happened: I raised my concerns and requested another room before leaving. Their later messages became defensive and accusatory, placing the blame on us rather than addressing the issues raised. I have visited Naxos several times and usually had excellent stays. This experience was very different, and I would not return.

Valuta for pengene!

Vi hadde et fint opphold på Ippokampus! Resepsjonisten, George, ordnet et fantastisk opplegg til oss til den dagen vi leide bil. Takk! Hotellet ligger veldig få minutters gange fra stranden, sentralt i Naxos by og var alt i alt veldig bra.

Very happy with this booking overall. The young woman at the reception was exceptionally kind and helpful during our stay. She took the time to orient us to the island and offered her assistance with any of the bookings we might want to make. The room was very clean and had everything we might have needed. Apartment was a 5-10 minute walk from the port, so we managed to go back and forth to the town frequently. Would definitely recommend this place!

Buona soluzione

Appartamenti rinnovati confortevoli, a 5 minuti dalla spiaggia e vicinissimi a bar e ristoranti, con una camminata si arriva in centro e al porto. Ideali per gruppi. Non è previsto transfert. Difficoltà per il parcheggio. Wi-Fi non funziona bene.

Alles gut, ausser die Entfernung zum Strand

Das Hotel das Apartment!? Wir haben das Apartment gebucht, aber die Bilder vom Hotel gesehen. Es sind 2 paar Schuhen. Es ist nicht das selbe und sollte separat inseriert werden. Wir wollten direkt am Strand buchen, haben auch die Bilder gesehen, aber uns wurde das Apartment ca. 300 Meter vom Meer gegeben. Das Apartment war perfekt. Klima, Sauberkeit, alles gut. Die Lage ins Zentrum super, aber zum Strand schlecht mit 2 Kinder! Nächstes mal werde ich ein anderes Hotel buchen. Aber für Singles oder Ehepaare ohne Kinder besser geeignet.

The staff at Ippokampos Apartments are friendly, courteous and professional. The property is located an easy walk to the beach and the town center, and yet because it is a block off of one of the main thoroughfares, it is peaceful and serene. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and are well appointed. You have a roomy, glassed in shower, small kitchenette with a burner top, hot pot and good-sized refrigerator, free Wi-Fi, and a flat-screen TV that receives both Greek and English channels. I would most definitely stay at Ippokampos again.
