Room was lovely and staff in the ground floor cafe were very accommodating. Valet staff were also very friendly and quick, always holding doors open for us on entry and exit.
However we weren’t told that rooms don’t get serviced everyday, so our 2nd night we had no fresh towels, beds made or water and coffee, we contacted the front desk to ask for fresh towels, who were very rude in response. We also didn’t have a flag for the door to say we wanted our room made up, which we told reception but they never gave us one, so we had to then say to reception each morning that we wanted the room made up. When the room did get made up on our 3rd and 4th night, coffee creamer, sugar and stirrers never got replaced, and bathroom was not wiped down. Front desk staff were unfriendly and unaccommodating for a hotel of this value and star rating. We were really looking forward to this trip in a special hotel, it was disappointing to have such simple issues that could have been solved easily.
