The hostel is located about a 5 mins walk from Don Mueang station and maybe another 5 for the airport. Not many shops, but lots of eateries close by. It takes about 40-60 minutes to get into central Bangkok depending where you want to go.
Check-in was quick and straightforward, with the staff explaining the rules. The dorm was on the 4th floor. There’s no lift and the 4 flights of steps are steep.
The dorm had 12 beds, each had a private locker and the hotel also provided the padlock. The lockers could fit large backpacks or medium sized suitcases. The cubicle had a privacy curtain, a private light and 2 electric sockets. The mattress was very firm, but I'm fine with that. There was a thick duvet and I slept well even with the AC set to 20.
There are separate bathrooms for boys and girls. The one for boys had 2 showers, 2 toilets, 3 wash basins and 2 hair dryers. The showers were equipped with liquid soap and shampoo. There wasn’t much ventilation in the bathroom except for a fan and only if it's switched on. The toilets were clean and the showers were clean enough.
There's coffee, water, cutlery and biscuits on the ground floor common area., which also has AC. There's WiFi throughout the hotel, it's fast and reliable.
Overall I had a very good stay. The place is clean and the proximity to the airport makes it great for a morning flight out. The stairs and showers are my only complaint, but for the price there isn’t much to complain about.
