The grounds of the hotel(s) are really nice, adorned with old classic cars, military memorabilia, and appliances from the past like record players, refrigerators and irons. The pool was nice and the restaurant had a niece ambiance.
The charm of the location cannot be denied. However, that's where the niceness ends. When I was taken to my room (#15), I was hit with the smell of dirty feet (pata chuca) as soon as I entered the room. Now, I can't say for sure if it was because it was dirty or if it was mildew. Regardless, it was not great. Since, I was only spending a few hours, I didn't complain. But needless to say, I didn't even sleep in the bed. Worse, the wifi was spotty at best.
The restaurant was nice but the food was kind of bland. I had the seafood soup but ended up adding salt and hot sauce due to the lack of flavor.
The only good thing about it all was the people. The staff were all polite, accommodating and helpful.
I would stay again, but would definitely speak up about getting a better room.
