A very good short stay in a charming estate village. Comfortable room. Good breakfast, restaurant & bar. Very helpful & friendly owners & staff. Plenty of rural footpaths for walking.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Had dinner at the pub and the portions were generous and the food tasty. The room was average sized and the bed was comfy - again generous amounts of tea/coffee in the room. The building is a bit tired in places but for one night, it suited me and I would stay again.

Great place to stay in a quiet rural location. The room was clean and comfortable with a powerful hot shower and the WiFi is very fast for a rural spot too. Nice atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced too. The only downside for me was that I didn’t sleep well because in the room there was an illuminated fire escape sign above my door that couldn’t be turned off. This is totally unnecessary as I knew where the door was, but sleeping with a light on is not the way I like to do it. I like sleeping in the dark. Must remember to take a blindfold sleep mask the next time I stay here.

WE HAD A LOVELY STAY, THE STAFF WERE VERY WELCOMING, VERY FRIENDLY. THEY COULDN'T DO ENOUGH TO HELP YOU. THE FOOD WAS GOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. HOWEVER THE ROOMS ARE A BIT TIRED ALTHOUGH WE HAD A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP.

Very disappointed with the bed mattress . Far too soft and allowed you to feel the boards underneath. When I complained they changed my room but it was much the same. You have to walk outside to access the dining room from the bedrooms, which is locked at the weekend until 9 am. Shower rooms seem new but lacked basic items such as a shelf for one's toiletries etc Breakfasts were ok. Serving staff were excellent

Top notch Tollemache yarms

Really enjoyed my stay at Tollemache Arms - lovely greeting from Linda when checking in -quick explanation of what and when and I was all set! Monday is a well earned day off for pub restaurant staff but luckily Linda offered a beautiful complimentary beef salad for my evening meal- outstanding!! Breakfast was delicious served bang on time plentiful and well cooked

A lovely country pub. The landlady was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets in the room. The food was exceptional and the breakfast was amazing. Even freshly brewed coffee which you do not get in hotels. We were pleasantly surprised.

The shower head was covered in limescale and the silicone sealant mouldy, and the toilet rocked a little when you sit on it, the bedroom was spotless though, the staff lovely and the food was good!

The restaurant was excellent. Staff helpful. Room was disappointing bathroom had very small shower. Walls not tiled. 3 loose pieces of carpet. The website pictures of rooms and bathrooms bear no resemblance to the actual we experienced. We feel we were overcharged. Shame really as it could be lovely.

Mo day bookings look at bar & restaurant times.

The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was great. Unfortunately on booking we didnt look at opening times. We booked to stay on a Monday. The hotel takes bed & breakfast bookings but the bar & restaurant isnt open on Mondays. So we had to drive 15 minutes to another village for food. Not what we realy wanted to do, but the luckily the other pub served food. It only says on opening time that the bar & restaurant is closed Mondays. It needs to more clearer on website as why would we look at restaurant & bar opening timrs if the hotels open. Its not a separate building from bat/restaurant to roons. We were not the only ones that got caught out. A,few others didnt know either.

Third Stay & Will Stay Again

Great little hotel conveniently situated about not far from the A1 about halfway between Peterborough and Grantham. Character building with peaceful and welcoming gardens to the rear, only 4 bedrooms which are clean and comfortable and a super pub/restaurant downstairs. Really friendly hostess and team with excellent meals served both morning and night - I recommend the beef fillet kebab, outstanding!
