Ajay checked us in with efficiency. He also graciously granted our request for a late check-out the following morning, giving us an extra hour! (Thanks, Ajay!) The front lobby was decorated for the holidays with quaint charm. Beyond the charm, everything was clean; the reception area, the hallways, the elevator, breakfast area, and the rooms were all very clean and welcoming. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows.The blackout curtains were wonderful! The shower worked fine with lots of hot water and good water pressure; it was slow draining, though, so we mentioned it to Ajay at check-out and we're confident that issue will be tended to ASAP. Although a few reviews mentioned slow wi-fi, we did not have any trouble with the wi-fi at all. We went to breakfast at 9am and there was plenty of hot foods with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and biscuits-n-gravy available. However, there were no muffins, bagels, or pastries of any type left. Just a lot of empty shelves which should have contained those items. Chuck, the helpful breakfast attendant, said those items had run out already (breakfast started at 7am) and while he did have additional trays of banana nut muffins and other pastries, he couldn't put them out for guest consumption until the next day. It's necessary to climb steps to get to the tea/coffee/juice area and that would've problematic for me if I was alone as I'm in a wheelchair. We recommend this as a clean and comfy place to stay in Williamsburg.

Good points: rooms were clean. The hotel was quiet. The breakfast was fair. Coffee in the lobby was actually pretty good and available at all times. Reason for the poor rating: we had booked a 3 night stay. On day 1 we discovered the shower ceiling in our room was leaking. We reported it the day we arrived. By the second night the leak was worse and the ceiling was coming down into the tub. At 10 in the evening we were moving rooms. Our new room had a lamp that didn’t have a pull cord, a bathroom mirror frame that was busted up, and the hairdryer kept blowing the bathroom outlet. In addition, we had chosen this hotel because it had an indoor pool for lap swimming. As it turned out, the heater wasn’t working so wasn’t usable. The staff was mildly sympathetic but they indicated they couldn’t do anything because there are no maintenance people on staff over the weekends. !!! After requesting some type of compensation we were given a 15% discount. A small gesture but it didn’t make up for the bad experience on a family celebration weekend.

Room and bathroom were clean and adequately stocked, beds were comfortable and room temperature was comfortable ; my only complaint is that the breakfast was not tasty, the food was lukewarm or cold, there was no fresh fruit, very basic

We (my wife & I) checked in on Friday, November 21, 2025, about 8pm. Front desk service was not welcoming at all. We were not informed about breakfast until I asked, and know mention of wifi code. Uncertain of the gentleman's name, but he was not friendly at all. When we entered the hotel on Saturday, November 22, he didn't as much as speak to us when entering the lobby. This is customer service at its worst. We travel a lot and this is not the norm at most hotels. The room was fine but two bulbs in the bathroom was burned out and bath tub was stained. We made the front desk aware of the light issue when checking out. Overall the room was fine. Price was great for our purposes of being in the area.

Nice location for a quick trip. Convenient to Busch Gardens and CW. Bathroom was dated with rust on the light fixture. No USB outlets. Comfortable beds and pet friendly.

I’ve stayed in all sorts of hotels and generally choose budget hotels to save money. My expectations are reasonable- clean. That’s pretty much it. This BW really needs some work. The lobby was clean, but the walls and carpet really need a facelift. They were dirty and beat up. When I arrived to our room, it was tidy and mostly clean, but I found a USED hygiene pad on the floor next to the far side of the bed!!! Housekeeping completely missed this and had I seen it earlier, I would’ve asked for the whole room to be cleaned again. The bed sheets were pilled and uncomfortable. When I asked for extra blankets for each bed, they nearly didn’t have any but managed to fine the “last two” and one had a major stain on it making us wonder if it had been washed. The dining facility is an old restaurant and the floors were sticky. Under my seat on the floor was a spilled bag of blue sticky candy (looked like powdered pixie sticks or pop rocks) so my shoes were all sticky. Upon checkout, I waited 20 minutes for the front desk attendant to show up to even tell him about the used pad. I’m not sure I’d ever stay her again due to the unhygienic finding in my room.

Room had thick layer of dust over much of the room furniture. There was also strong chemical odor on ground near the elevator. Elevator was old and clunky, sometimes didn't ever arrive. Friendly staff, but seemed to be understaffed, which I understand is a major issue for lots of hotels, but this one needs more cleaning.
