Dear David and the Hotel Management Staff,
I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding our stay at the Newport Harbor Island Resort. What was meant to be a relaxing and memorable family vacation turned out to be stressful, frustrating, and, at times, deeply upsetting. I hope this message will be taken seriously, and that a formal review and appropriate compensation will be considered as a result.
Lack of Orientation and Access to Amenities:
Upon arrival, we were given no information whatsoever regarding the resort amenities, services, or even basic hotel features. We were later surprised to learn that the hotel charges a $67 per night resort fee, which supposedly covers services such as the shuttle, bikes, and boat to Bowman’s Wharf which we only found out about on our day of departure or the shuttle on the day we were sent a message it was not running or the bikes after they not being available on serval occasions. Had we been informed at check-in, we would have absolutely taken advantage of these offerings with our children. We also had no idea there was an indoor pool, and again, that’s something our kids would have enjoyed had it been communicated to us. There was a sign about s’mores nightly but we had no idea where they were and when we asked the gentleman in the front said yeah probably happening and somewhere on the lawn. Another advertised amenity my children would have loved to enjoy but we missed.
There was no room service menu in our room,
