This was a very beautiful small hotel in a little village which was refreshingly off the tourist trail, but an easy drive to everything we wanted to see. We were greeted by the very lovely Ines, and were excited to be shown to our gorgeous room. Everything had so much potential, and so many nice things had been thought of. Even the scent in the room was beautiful. However there were a few things which really let this property down. The bed was very hard so a good nights sleep was impossible, and even when you did drift off in the small hours a cockerel crowing at 4.30am nipped that in the bud. The room had zero soundproofing so if you’re a light sleeper it’s not the place for you. The shower rarely had hot water, the only hot shower we managed was mid afternoon so perhaps the system couldn’t cope with morning demand. The little terrace at the top seemed lovely, until the drain smell wafted over - the sewerage system seemed to be vented right up to the terrace. We were excited to have a swim in the pool, we knew it was likely to be unheated so very cold in October, but thought we could cope with that as there was a hot tub next to it - one of my main reasons for booking this particular hotel. The hot tub was also freezing and not even particularly clean. Very disappointing. Parking wasn’t ideal, but fine for us. Just avoid if you have any mobility issues. All in all we had a lovely stay, loved Bunyola, but this hotel just needed more attention to the basics.
