A very tired looking pub and guest rooms. Corridor and stairs to rooms very uninviting and rather depressing. Rooms need updating, painted a dismal grey, paint chipped, silicone in bathroom black and dated furniture, lighting poor and very dim, green light on mirror over sink that illuminated the whole room through the night I had to sleep with an eye mask on (the sink and mirror were in the bedroom)! Tea and coffee in room.
Quite noisy from the main road traffic just outside the hotel most of the night. Food in pub and breakfast were ok.
Staff friendly and a perfect location if visiting the Freeman Hospital. Easy parking
