Elizabeth and David were outstanding hosts! The Property was exactly what we expected. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and all of the amenities were perfect. The breakfast was delicious. If we are back in the Chester area we will definitely stay here again.

We had the most amazing visit! Three couples at the B&B and then nearby visit to historic Brattonsville for a Juneteenth celebration. Dave and Elizabeth have created a living museum celebrating the Blues! What a treasure! They were gracious and generous hosts and provided an incredible breakfast! We now want them to visit us in Greensboro #Magnoliahouse. Not only was the B&B in Chester, SC a delight, we enjoyed authentic Italian cuisine at Vinny's Taste Of Italy! 🇮🇹 This visit was delightfully memorable.

Southern Charm & Hospitality

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The House is beautiful and filled with memorabilia of great artists from the jazz and blues fields. The area is very quiet and picturesque. I look forward to my next trip up to the Chester, SC area. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!

This is a very unique B&B and Dave and Elizabeth do everything and more to make your stay enjoyable. The inn is beautiful and breakfast was wonderful. What a unique experience, and such a refreshing change from the standard hotel experience! They do it from the heart.

The host was extremely warm and knowledgeable about blues history .they served homecook breakfast with heart efforts. Room was verywell decorated and furnished in southern plantation style...everything just beyond our expectations..what a beautiful memories .we sure will be back again!

Inn on Half Moon Plantation is a 5 star bed & breakfast. Quiet, beautiful home that has a blues music 🎶 history beyond imagination. Love this place. I stayed in the Memphis room which features Elvis and B.B. King.

Elizabeth and Dave could not have been nicer! The Inn is definitely a gem. The wealth of jazz memorabilia in the bed and breakfast was incredible. Each room has a different jazz theme too.Dave is so knowledgeable and a wonderful story teller. Elisabeth is warm and genuine. She gave us a wonderful recommendation for Sunday night dinner as everything else was closed. Dave is the chef and asked if we had any food allergies the night before and honored pur requests. Breakfast was delicious; grits, bacon, sausage, crepe like blueberry pancakes, juice, fruit, scrambled eggs and coffee. Our room was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. There was an alcove with microwave and refrigerator/ freezer which was great as we had items to be refrigerated. 3 We truly felt at home with Elizabeth and Dave!

Come for the Room, Stay for the Experience

I had an amazing experience at the Inn Upon Moon River. From the moment my brother-in-law and I walked in we felt welcome. The innkeeper (Elizabeth), made us feel right at home with the level of service we received. From serving us dinner to showing us to our room, and everything in between, we were impressed at every turn. She even went so far as to find out when we needed to eat breakfast the next morning before we departed, and made sure to have it ready at that time! I highly recommend this inn to any traveler who wants a quieter stay with good company and a personal touch that you rarely find at the major hotel chains.

The Inn was wonderful and so were our kind and welcoming hosts, Elizabeth and Dave. The Inn is filled with fascinating memorabilia associated with important historic figures in the worlds of music and sports. But, Elizabeth and Dave have their own interesting stories to tell, and we were readily engaged by them. Finally, as if we couldn't possibly enjoy our stay any more, Elizabeth prepared a fabulous breakfast at which their friend, pianist Patrick Hudson, played from his vast repertoire of music. It was a stroke of luck we ventured off Rt 77 to stay at the charming Inn in the quiet town of Chester, South Carolina. If you're anywhere near Chester and need a respite from the road or life in general, it's a great place to stay
