Enjoyed my stay at this old school motel.

This small older motel was excellent for the price! The room was clean and appeared to be recently updated with fresh paint. The bath tub was stained but not dirty. Linens were clean. It was quiet and close to the Eisenhower Memorial which was our reason for visiting Abilene. The TV service/channel selection was good. We would definitely stay there again! Compared to similar motels we have stayed at, Diamond would rank at the top and receive 5 stars! The only reason for 4 stars is for those travelers who expect the Ritz for the price of the Diamond.

Very friendly owner. Waited for me as I was a late arrival. As a motel it was a good clean stay in a quiet neighborhood

It's a low budget motel but the staff are responsive and helpful and cleanliness is better than I expected. Would stay again.

This is a hidden gem of a motel with very well maintained older fixtures and amenities. Just a mile or so from the interstate in a quiet area which made for a perfect restful stay.

Nice old motel. If you’re looking for quaint and not modern. No breakfast or ice machine. Extremely cold and unable to regulate. Would stay again.(clean and comfortable bed)

Place reminded me of the old time motels on the path not taken a lot. Close to downtown which I wanted. Not super clean but not dirty. Just average.

I loved my overnight here - the perfect place to stay on a long road trip. The owner was so kind and I felt incredibly safe. I slept great too!

Being mindful that it is a motel and not a hotel, the accomodations were sufficient and convenient for the Eisenhower Presidential Library (which I highly recommend). Our initial large room with a window air conditioner did not cool the room even after 3 hours (about 90 degrees outside). The second room was smaller but had two qeen beds and the central AC was great.

The beds were very comfortable. Needs a lot of up dating but from one night it was very nice.

Howie, the owner, was very helpful. The property was in good condition and everything worked as it should. Will definitely stay here again in the fall.

This is a different review. The room was obviously updated, linens were new and fresh. Remote and AC were great. BUT... the tub handles were missing and the shower curtain was dirty. So strange, when the rest was very clean! My husband used his multi-tool and we had showers with good heat and pressure. There was no ice machine, but we would stay again.

The motel was clean and staff was very helpful, however the AC can't be controlled by the room and it was SO COLD! My clock with a thermometer said it was 56 when I woke up. BRRR! Bathroom fixtures were old and bathtub stopper was missing. Water pressure was at least great.

The owner was very kind and welcoming. The sheets and mattress were clean, although there was no mattress protector. Unfortunately, the chairs in the room were visibly very dirty. This was the first time I didn't feel comfortable sitting in the room chairs because of how unclean they appeared. I hope this is addressed, as it would make a big difference in the overall stay.

This is an old motel that begs for tlc and repairs on the inside and outside.

Very helpful, prompt, and responsive staff. Check in and out was very easy and fast. No thermostat found in room and it was very cold. Bathroom was a bit cramped and some furnishings were worn. It was clean. Over all, it was a pretty good motel for the price. Thermostats in the room or a more moderate temperature would have gone a long way.

Older place and it shows, but good location not bad price. Just very ild and feels it.

Room was spotless. Fixtures are dated but everything functioned well. Be aware there was no visable ice machine.
