I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay and the issues we experienced during check-in and with the condition of our room.
Our check-in time was scheduled for 3:00 PM, however, when we arrived at the hotel, our room was not ready. We were required to wait past the designated check-in time, which was frustrating after planning our arrival based on the stated policy.
Once we were finally able to access the room, we encountered a more concerning issue, the door would not properly lock. This created a safety concern and made us feel uncomfortable leaving our belongings in the room or relaxing during our stay. A functioning and secure door is a basic expectation for any hotel accommodation. The lock was fixed by maintenance but we were ready to go to sleep and waiting for them to fix the door was another inconvenience.
We chose Hampton/Hilton because of its reputation for quality and reliability, so this experience was disappointing. I would appreciate your review of this situation and any steps you can take to address the inconvenience and safety concern we experienced.
