Check in was quick. Since i prepaid, i was handed the key. Staff did not request my credit card for incidentals.
We had to walk through a series of fire doors (maybe 6?) and stairs to reach our first floor room. The room was small and worn. The bedding appeared dirty. The window was open a crack and could not be closed, so it was cold inside the room. I was able to turn up the heat so that was okay. The carpet was worn and thin. Bathroom was extremely cramped. The shower was very small and could use some caulk repairs. The shower had good pressure and nice hot water.
It appeared that daily housekeeping did not do any cleaning aside from making the bed, emptying trash, and replacing towels. This was fine with me because it was a short stay and I kept things clean.
Because the window was ajar, we heard workmen on the grounds starting fairly early in the morning.
I did not visit the restaurant/bar.
Overall, this stay was below average, but the location was perfect for my needs and the price was very low.
