Good, affordable accomodation

Had trouble finding the pubs car park, as SAT NAV takes you to pay and display at back of pub. But ran inside and a really friendly staff member directed me there. She was also lovely on check in. Pub on good, central location to the town and nice little walks by the menai straits available. Room clean and tidy, with the basics you need.

Noisy at weekends, be warned

Sadly no mention of loud music until late on the hotels.com app. I gather it did mention it on the details in the room, but there werenā€™t any in my room. Power tripped at 11pm, couldnā€™t be rectified that night so offered me another room until they realised Iā€™d booked for 2 nights. Ended up boiling a kettle and having shower in another empty room. To be honest partially my fault for booking a room at a pub. But it would have help if hotels.com listing had mentioned itā€™d be noisy until late at weekends.

Donā€™t waste your time and money

Single bed headboard not attached hits wall radiator not working so cold 1 pillow so stiff neck. Noisiest pub ever if you want sleep before midnight donā€™t even think about it.No towels. Back stairs out are fire escape stairs not for children or anyone unstable, I banged my knee on rails getting down slowly.Their parking is around the back 3 spaces rubbish everywhere dark alley, no way !!!!! I paid and used council parking

Within 1 minute of arrival the toilet seat fell off the TV was broken, reported this to staff who was aware of these issues!! Couldnā€™t fix the TV but did give me a fire stick but had to fit it myself- massive buildup of dust behind tv ! Plaster falling off the wall , was told there was live music finishing at 11 but it went on to midnight, an email telling me that when I booked would have been the right thing to do Room ok but overpriced Ideal if you are a contractor but definitely not for the leisure users

I think some of the reviews are a bit unfair. Yes the WiFi doesnā€™t work and neither does the TV. Itā€™s also the noisiest pub in North Wales. But there is a car park, itā€™s clean and my single room was Ā£50. Bargain.

The room was cold, no heat from the radiator. Informed the barman who said it was fixed but it wasn't. Only one pillow, toilet paper ran out, kettle water tasted strange, and late night access was via the fire escape stairs. Not even sure there was staff on site after 10pm. Very discomforting.

Bulkeley arms

The stay was ok, the heating in the room didnā€™t work for a while so it got rather cold plus our window was broken which let a draft in we tried to fix it. The door to the hotel uses a fob at the back it didnā€™t lock anyone could have entered. The twin room tv didnā€™t work in the room it also sits directly above the music speaker in the pub which is ok but not at 1.30am where the music continued šŸ¤” The staff were very helpful.

FREE PARKING AVERTISED WAS EITHER COUNCIL CARPARK WHICH WAS FREE ONLY AFTER PM OR STREET FREE AFTER 6PM.THE PUB FREE WIFI WAS DOWN HAD TO USE THE FREE COMMUNITY WIFI.NO CHANNELS AVALIABLE TO WATCH ON THE TV AND THE HEATING WAS OFF ALL THROUGH MY STAY SO ROOM WAS COLD.THE LANDLADY WAS LUKE WARM NOT A REALLY FRIENDLY WELCOME.

No Food

for one night it was fine. I like staying at pubs but this surprised me as it was a NO FOOD pub. No evening meal nor breakfast which I hadn't noted when booking. Pub isn't manned in the morning so you exit via the fire escape.

Room in need of decoration.

I was warmly welcomed and shown to my room. The room is dated and in need of decoration. A Seat stool was unsafe and needs screws tightened. The shower body was empty. Also the pub advertised and had pictures of food but stopped this some weeks ago. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. In the morning a woke up to a strong smell of sewage.

Property had character. Comfortable clean bed. Room had television control gadget but no television. The pub closed down at 8.00pm Tuesday and I got locked out.
