For a 4-star hotel, several aspects were very disappointing.
Upon arrival, I noticed multiple signs of neglect: tangled and visible electrical wires around the television and phone, and a poorly organized workspace.
In the bathroom, the towels were wrinkled, giving the impression that they may have already been used. The room itself was not serviced during my stay. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that you need to hang a sign on the door to request housekeeping service — otherwise, it won’t be done. This practice might be acceptable in a lower-category hotel, but for a 4-star property, it’s quite disappointing.
Another important point: the hotel restaurant was closed on both days of my stay. The only dining option offered was to go to the nearby pub, which required walking in the rain across a poorly lit parking lot full of puddles and potholes. For a hotel of this category, one would expect to be able to dine on site — either in the restaurant or through room service — without having to go out in such conditions.
The Wi-Fi connection was also unstable and very slow.
Finally, I asked to speak with a manager to share my concerns. I was told she was in a meeting. I left my contact information, but no one ever called me back. This lack of follow-up reflects a general lack of attention to guests in this establishment.
The basic comfort is there, but the lack of attention to detail, poor service quality, fall well below what one should expect from a 4-star hotel.
