English Inn Charlottesville Review, very infuriating when housekeeping prematurely and unilaterally cut my stay short way before check out time. The housekeeper trespassed into my room despite not being checked out, ignoring the “Do Not Disturb” sign hung on the door, stole my hangers, and folded clothes that were hanging in the closet. You would think that a reasonable person would stop at any one of those signs. It is clear that hotel management condones those intrusions by throwing guests out of their hotel rooms and encouraging housekeeping to immediately turn over the rooms.
The room had a funky mold odor and an unexplained dark stain on the dated rug. Room needs a refresh as curtains, drapes, and upholstered chair looked dingy. Urine smell by the 1st floor pool area door, breakfast bar has spoiled chocolate milk as the refrigerator was warm and not up to health code.
Overall negative experience was not made better by the variety of breakfast food and decent location.
They should dock the housekeeper’s pay for her folding my dry cleaned clothes. Do not recommend, do not stay, will not go back.
