NICE ROOM, STANDARD BUSINESS HOTEL
Just in town for a one night stop before catching an international flight the next day, I chose this hotel for its location. I took the train from the airport (just $3.50, the only city without an airport fee!) and then the free yellow CAT bus took me two stops to the hotel. Very convenient!
The room was on the seventh floor facing the street and it was quiet. However, the blockout blinds didn’t quite do their job, as there was consistent lighting from the buildings across the road leaking in around the edges.
The room was spacious but, as there was only one luggage rack, I had to use the sofa for my clamshell suitcase. There was a work desk, TV (with a slightly confusing interface), kettle & Nespresso machine with a small milk in the fridge plus a minibar selection. The bed was fine but the pillows were a bit random and lumpy. I used my own travel pillow.
The real winner was the bathroom: a rain-shower with decent pressure and nice bulk toiletries & towels. There’s good counter space and a pretty good hairdryer.
All in all, an average stay at an average business hotel.
