Property doesnāt look like the pictures on Expedia. The complimentary body wash in the shower wasnāt filled up/completely empty, the floor of the shower wasnāt cleaned, pillow cases on one side of our king bed where very damp/wet⦠someone who works for the hotel knocked on our door at 11:30pm at night and asked us when we were checking out the next day⦠very inappropriate especially when they know when people have to check out by. Very very unpleased and IS NOT worth $160 per night.

Bed was clean and comfortable but the pillow were terribly lumpy. The rest of the room we had to sanitize what we could and tried not to touch anything else. If we hadnāt had a midnight arrival we would not have stayed at this property. Those who have rated it as exceptional have very poor standards. Stains on the carpets, walls, and furnishings. Dust on the doors and walls. The hotel lobby and breakfast area are beautifully redone but completely misrepresent the condition of the rooms which is really most important for a clean, healthy, relaxing, and comfortable stay. The breakfast area is the only space in the hotel that smells musty due to moisture control issues apparent by the extreme condensation on the windows. Breakfast is a risk at best. Juice looks like itās been there too long and is possibly fermenting at this point. They also offer cereal with no milk, muffins, a waffle maker with no batter, and a carafe of coffee that really looks like it needs a good exterior cleaning. Spend $30 more and stay elsewhere.

I stayed at Iris Garden Inn from June 12ā14 and was very disappointed. The lobby had a strong, unpleasant odor upon arrival. The front desk staff was unprofessional and untrained, and my reservation had been incorrectly checked in under someone else. It took multiple calls to a manager just to resolve the issue.
The hotel felt unsafe, with people loitering in cars in the parking lot. Only one service elevator was working, and its inspection was expired (last checked in 2024). My room had a musty smell, was hot upon entry, and I found a dead roach behind the TV. It felt like the room hadnāt been inspected or used in a while.
None of the ice machines worked on the 2nd or 3rd floors, and the vending area on the 1st floor was out of order too. I was beyond frustrated by that point. Staff were rarely visible, and checking out was difficult due to a language barrier.
The photos online were misleading. I understand budget hotels come with limitations, but cleanliness, safety, and basic service should still be expected. I was relieved to only be staying two nights.

This our second time to stay at the Iris Garden Inn in Garden City/Savannah. Our daughter is a student at SCAD and in the past we always stayed at short term rentals in the north historic district. Last year we traveled with our dog to pick up our daughter for summer break and stayed at the Iris Garden Inn because they allow pets. We were pleasantly surprised at the newness and cleanliness of the inn and our room as well as the friendly and very helpful staff. Plus it had a large parking lot and grassy areas for walking our dog. This year no dog but booked again because we liked the convenience. It is close to the historic district (5 to 10 minute drive) and you donāt have the headache of hunting 15 minutes for an overnight pay to park space.

it is a nice hotel for price and hotel staff was very helpful. close to savannah and good price. enjoyed the stay!!
