The food was pretty good in the restaurant. The staff were really kind and helpful.
The building looks like it was a really nice place but is starting to show its age and the repairs are not kept up very well. It's small but the wall peper is peeling, the floor was cracking and filled with caulking.
The issues that I had was worth the water. We paid for the king suite with Jacuzzi tub but there was not enough hot water and not hot enough to fill it up. It took an hour to fill and we needed to heat 8 kettles of water to get the water hot enough for our bath.
I understand that it's a rural property and it's on a well and not everything needs to be perfect all the time. What really got to me was the response when I asked for a discount the day after checking out. I would have been happy with just about any discount on the price. I paid the premium for the big room with the tub and I didn't get what was promised. I would have gladly paid the rate of the regular room. Or even a gesture of 50$. But instead, the owners told me to take it up with hotels.com Who then called the hotel to ask about a discount but they refused so here we are.
I was not satisfied with how the owners dealt with my issues. That is why I'm not giving a good review.
