We booked this hotel as it was a higher end luxury hotel and hence didn’t mind paying twice as much as the other hotels in the Sacred Valley. The gardens were beautiful and the exterior is cool, staff was friendly, nice big comfy bed and the dinner food was tasty.
Drawbacks were that it didn’t really feel as nice as we expected for the price. It’s quite old (not in a charming way), the cold water suddenly cut while showering scolding me, the toilet stopped flushing (no, we didn’t clog it :p), the window in the roof is a nice detail in the daytime, but means a light will shine in your face from 5:30AM, the dinner food was good but extortionate in comparison to other nice restaurants in the area (with a baby and the hotel being in the middle of nowhere, we couldn’t go other places for dinner, so we were essentially in a captive market paying a lot for the food), breakfast was mostly cold continental with an offering of fried or scrambled eggs (again, very sub-par for the hotel price), all of the luxury elements were also really expensive (getting a massage, yoga session, using the jacuzzi - spa should have been included) and booking a taxi through them cost way more than Uber or negotiating with a local taxi.
All in all, delicious dinner food and super friendly staff with lovely gardens, but very expensive for what you get and it needs some maintenance and improvements on the included offerings.
