The room was adorable clean and comfortable. The outside despite looking a bit rundown was decorated pretty cute as well. However there was ZERO staff on site, you had to drive a mile down the street to a different (nicer looking) hotel to check in, and to the same hotel to pick up your “to-go” breakfast which you needed to order the day before. The folks at that other hotel were nice but there was no one at this hotel.

Just outside of old town Bandon, we were able to cross the street and walk there in just a few minutes. The room was clean and nice, beds and pillows comfortable. Our room was in the front and offered a cute little area to have coffee, but there are no seats or tables out there. Decorations are cute, very beachy. This was perfect for our short one-night stay. Office was closed when we got there so we had to drive up to the Bandon inn to check in. That was annoying. Breakfast selections were not great so we opted out of the free breakfast. The parking lot is a little small.

Please note: You need to check in over at that property, order the free breakfast and pick it up at that property, and enjoy coffee over at that property. I don’t know why this hotel is neglected but be aware.

We stayed at the Lighthouse Inn for 2 nights. The locations was very convenient. The person at the front desk had upgraded our room because of my daughter's disability. It was HUGE!!! 2 large queens and plenty of room to move around. There were no real amenities (no breakfast etc). The door on the room did not shut correctly and 2 times someone walked in even though we had locked the door.

The property itself was charming and conveniently located near local shops and the wharf. However, the operational setup was inconvenient. There is no on-site staff, meaning you have to drive up the road and cross a busy street to a sister property for check-in, check-out, and any guest assistance. Breakfast is handled the same way: you submit an order form in advance and drive over to pick up a pre-packed to-go bag. While there were places to sit, the setup clearly felt designed to send you on your way rather than encourage you to stay and eat. The food options were fairly basic. Overall, the accommodations are pleasant, but be prepared for a disconnected, off-site service experience.

It was absolutely ridiculous.I had to go to another hotel to check in. Even if your main office was under construction , you should have used one of the rooms to allow guests to check in. After driving for the last 10 hours The last thing I wanted to do was go back and forth from two different hotels just to check in and get breakfast.

We stayed at the Lighthouse Cove Inn. It's a smaller motel. The Bandon Inn is operating the property. We've stayed at the Lighthouse Cove twenty years ago. I am glad to see it purchased and invested into. Regardless of all that. The staff at the Bandon Inn we're very professional. And the clerk had great recommendations for dining and other activities. The room was very tidy. And had a beautiful view of the Bandon coast and downtown. Thank you for a great weekend. Room 209 S.Whelchel.

The room was very nice. But the office is not open. There are instructions to go to a different hotel a few hundred yards away to get your key. Once we got a key the room that they gave us the key to, was not yet cleaned. So I had to drive back to the other hotel get a different key/room. Also, the continental breakfast was at the other hotel, which was odd to me. it was inconvenient to wake up and drive to a different hotel then grab your continental breakfast and bring it back to your room to eat it.

Check-in takes place at a different hotel, a half-mile walk away. My room key stopped working, so I had to walk back there again. Breakfast is also served at that other hotel. There were ants in the room—probably due to the flower pots outside.

This hotel did not start off on the right foot once we learned that the front desk wasn't even AT this hotel. We had to go down the street to a different hotel to check in. The bed was less than comfortable so it caused a less than good night's sleep and I woke up with a stiff neck because of the bed. There is a free breakfast but they give you an order form, you tell them what you want, the place it in a bag for you, and then you have to drive to the other hotel to pick it up. It's a pretty simple breakfast: yogurt, bagels, bread, etc. You aren't told the bagels won't be toasted so make sure you do that before leaving the other hotel or else you'll have to drive back to toast them. We couldn't use the freezer in our room because the freezer wouldn't close because of ice blocking it. There is also no air conditioning which is not something I enjoy given I'm from the South and we need our AC. We had the window open and fan going when we were awake but by the time we went to bed, we closed the window and just had the fan going which made the night even more uncomfortable.

The office was under construction with nobody to staff an office. We were told by the construction crew that we had to go to another hotel to check in and they could assist us as they also owned the Lighthouse Hotel. Confused, we went to that hotel and was told that there wouldn't be any staff at the Lighthouse due to construction, just the cleaning crew in the morning. I asked if we could get and refund and was told because I booked online we couldn't be refunded. I asked if there would be any security at the hotel throughout the night and was told no that it was too expensive and they couldn't do that. They said that if we had any issues to call them from the room phone and someone would come to meet us. I thought this whole situation was very odd and unacceptable - why didn't they have a staff member on site - they could have set up one of the downstairs rooms as a temporary office - they didn't like that suggestion either, Bottom line, it made for a blemish on our great trip up until then. The whole situation made me very uncomfortable never again!

Were it not for the amazing personnel who did their best to resolve circumstances I would have rated this hotel even lower. We arrived late afternoon to discover the office was closed, with a note to go to the Bandon Inn (no directions or phone). A quick Google search sent us to the Bandon View Inn, what looked like an apartment. Fortunately the Visitor Center was open and a helpful lady there steered us in the right direction. The following check-in procedure was strange but finally we were checked in and given a key...and a form to fill out requesting our cold breakfast food choices which were to be put into a bag and left at the Bandon Inn. In fairness, in hindsight, though inconvenient and unusual, it worked fairly well. When we arrived back to the Lighthouse Cove we discovered our "room with a view" faced busy Hwy 101 with its noise, and across from a gas station. The view was a distant glimpse of the bay. Further, parking was difficult, we had to navigate a high curb to step up to the walk, and the room was dark and in need of remodel. Back to Bandon Inn we went to request a room change...which was cheerfully accommodated. Ironically it appeared only one another room was occupied...hmm. This was our second visit to this motel, and unfortunately our last. Bandon simply has better options at that price point. Again, we praise the staff but that's just not enough.

Poor, very poor, cost for what you get.

I am not going to go into all details but will say that this overpriced facility ($100 + per night) WILL CHARGE YOU FOR ICE OUT OF THEIR MACHINE. Never, ever have I been subjected to such a stupid a-- charge in all my travels. The facility is fair, not good, and I will not lodge there again.
