Due to weather my trip was moved. I had bought the insurance. When I contacted (Online "customer service"), I was told that I could not move the two days booked to the new time frame, that I would have to pay for a penalty cancellation fee (full room price) and also the new booking dates. I asked that the new date be booked regardless.Now I was on the line with Expedia for two hours. Part of that time was the Expedia rep stating that they had reached out to the Holiday Inn and was told that they had categorically denied the move. When we arrived at the Holiday Inn,.we were told that the new dates were never booked, that they had no policy against the change I requested, and were NEVER called by Expedia about this. Other members of the fishing party had booked directly, and made the change without a problem. We grabbed.whatever room was available, a lesser room, away from our group. So beware, Expedia is not a good option for travel as they will not provide any value add. I have used them a lot in the past, but no more.
