For $300/night, I expected more. At least that the hot tub would be clean, all doors work properly, and there be someone available to call if we needed anything. The hot tub was slimey and needed some serious attention. The back door was almost impossible to open and the front was so squeaky I thought we were going to wake the entire neighborhood. Given the nonexistent cell reception, I was disappointed that when I was finally able to get through to the āfront deskā that there was āno one available to take my callā. It was 9am, so a reasonable time of day to call to get more coffee. We arrived late at night so were grateful that the ācheck in policyā was to grab a bag with our key from the unattended front desk. However, the place was poorly lit at such a late hour and we stumbled around in the dark trying to find our cabin. I appreciate the attempt at protecting night skies and all, but at least leave a little light on? In the name of safety? The cottage itself was strangely laid out but adequate and at least the bed was comfy. The one cool thing was that they provided soap/shampoo/conditioner in a dispenser instead of single use bottle! Unfortunately we were relegated to a Keurig instead of a real coffee pot so managed to offset that good pretty quickly. Lastly, I was dismayed to find that our āsunset viewā was actually āhighway viewā but that was the least of my disappointment. Given the exorbitant cost and mediocre delivery, we wonāt be back.
