Stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend and the location was unbeatable! The room was basic and spacious with a comfy bed, but no view in room 104. This is the one that’s attached to the private patio. And no issues with checking in or communication prior to arriving.
I agree with other reviews that the building smells a bit like sewage but our room smelled fine, and yes you can hear other people moving around, but that’s the character of an older building. Couldn’t get the sound to work on tv but also didn’t bother asking for help, and power went out in bathroom during shower, but it was back when we returned a few hours later.
Honestly though, these are minor issues, and what matters most is the location, I was so happy to be sandwiched between lower and upper town, and the surrounding neighbourhood is quiet and has the most charm! If you’re travelling to Old Quebec to sit in your room, THAT’s an issue!
