Great location, 'marmite' rooms (we didn't like the shower and washbasin being directly in the room), poor communication (e.g. how to use hotels.com voucher), lovely staff overall but inattentive at times as not enough of them, e.g. at breakfast - where some of the food and service was excellent but in other parts terrible.
Room was missing basics such as shower caps, cotton buds, etc. and the coffee pods, sugars, creamers were not replenished. Heating/cooling controller made no difference (not working?). No conditioner (just all-in-one liquid) or moisturiser. Only half the towels replaced when room was serviced - why?
Pool is as tiny as it looks in the photos, and no dressing gowns provided. As our ladies were not comfortable walking through the hotel in swimming costumes, we didn't use the pool.
Overall, not a bad hotel but management team needs to focus on customer needs and pay attention to details. We regularly stay at other 4 and 5 star hotels and the GF does not compare well as a 4.5 star hotel in terms of value for money, attention to detail or customer focus.
