My rating is based predominantly on customer service expectation than anything else.
The property is nicely appointed as are most Ashleys. There is lack of attention to detail and service that is stunning.
This was a second chance for this property, having failed on a previous visit. It was unable to redeem itself. I arrived at the property entrance struggling with my bags, the bell boy saw me approach and ignored me. I was forced to ask to open the door and he did NOT assist me with my bags. I still don't know what to make of this reception, but it left me feeling out of sorts.
I arrived at my room and was well. As was the case during my last visit - the towels were worn and seriously discolored. They should be taken out of circulation. To be honest, they looked unwashed and that kicked my OCD into full gear. That aside the housekeeping was good.
The issue this trip was the wifi connectivity - it was absolutely awful on large electronics such as a laptop computer. I called and complained several times, but there was no improvement. Eventually, I was moved to another room in an effort to resolve the problem. The problem was not improved. But I gave up on communicating. The fact of the matter is that good customer service demanded a follow up front desk and that didn't happen. I contacted hotels.com and made a complaint. They contacted the front desk twice and in neither instance did the property reach out. This, I believe was a deliberate management decision.
