Not worth the money. Specially when i had to walk 4 blocks for parking. Valet parking wouldve help. The tub plug doesnt work so we had to put a towel to keep the water up. I wont be staying here again.
For a special occasion I booked a "Superior King" room that advertised a spectacular view, and got a view directly out at pipes and mechanicals on neighboring rooftops. When I expressed dissatisfaction I was told "we consider anything above the 11th floor to be superior." When I explained why this was not a satisfactory answer for not having the advertised view, I was repeatedly told "but it was above 11." Another guest room was between ours and elevators but we STILL heard the elevator hydraulics all night long (sounds like a slide whistle). This info garnered shrugged shoulders from the front desk. This was particularly baffling now since, given that the pandemic is not over, there seemed to be hardly ANY guests in the hotel so why give someone a terrible room when others were clearly available? When checking in I asked for a late checkout as advertised prominently on their website to be a perk, and was told "you booked on hotels.com so that doesn't apply to you." Room was as small as a pod hotel room (teeny-tiny and basic). I actually love pod hotels -- I just don't love when I pay luxury hotel prices and get a pod-sized room. And pod hotels, in my experience, don't come with ultra-rude staff, misleading promises, and elevator sounds all night long. In addition, the $200 hold on my credit card for amenities was left on my card (as well as a bevy of other unexpected charges) and I'm told may not be removed for weeks. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Nice room and great location in Chelsea by Chelsea Market, Highline and Hudson River trail. I'd definitely stay there again. Best for couples cuz only a glass wall separates bath/shower from room so you better not mind being on display during your shower if u have a roommate. I shared the king bed with my teen daughter, but definitely wouldn't work with her twin brother. Only bed option is king so u better for solo or couples.
Very cool spot in very cool location. Staff is minimal at the moment (likely due to Covid downturn) so no valet parking (self-parking is blocks away), no doorman to help with luggage, etc. Beds are comfortable. Views are great. Room design is very strange with no shower doors or closet doors. Seems dated and odd.
Beautiful views. Walking distance to many attractions such as Chelsea piers and Hudson yards. Would highly recommend. Only down side is if you drive the garage in like a 5 min walk but they give discounted parking making it a great rate.
Spectacular views. Sensual shower overlooking the room. Everything was well done for a romantic sleepover.
The Standard is always awesome, and the staff is incredible. The view on the Highline side is amazing and the elevator is always a good time.
I needed a staycation so I decided to treat myself to a corner king suite. It met all my expectations. very large room (by NY standards) and laid out perfectly. The granted my request for a high floor and it felt very covid safe as contact with anyone was minimal. They messed up my breakfast, but then comped it, so I can't even complain about that. Will be back.
The person at front desk was great; got perfect room with super view. Went to top restaurant within walking distance Excellent all the way
Just kind of dirty feeling, in a degenerate way. It felt like a really big corny affair motel. Weird vibes. Trying too hard.
