My stay in Eko Hotels was disappointing. The first thing that happened was that the bathroom ceiling fell with a loud bang as I was about to take a shower. The exposed wires could have easily led to my electrocution! My room was then changed but the misery contnued with intermittent drilling noises above the room that made the room unusable at times. I had to call Guest Services several times to have the drilliing stopped. None of my complaints - the ceiling falling down, or the incessant drilling elecited an apology from the manager, nor an offer of compensation in any form. The receptonist simply repearts the "we are sorry sir" mantra and assumes this fixes all problems. Sadly, this insensitive attitude continued the next day. Health and safety is also poor at Eko Hotel. Broken plugs were not fixed but simply covered up by plugging other equipment into it. There was also a rusty door stopper in my bathroom which was positoned in such a way that you could easily stub your toes. I also observed two pin plugs being forced into 3 pin sockets. And this is not all that I observed. I will not be staying in this hotel again. It has been disappointing and a waste of money.
I do not have any axe to grind with Eko Hotel, having stayed there a few times. However things have gone very bad.
I have videos and pictures to butress my complaints above. I have made nothing up.
