The National motel was nice looking with modern bathroom and some updates to bedroom, but the bed was hard!! Checked out the mattress and it was one of those commercial mattresses with no comfort layer on it all.
This made it very uncomfortable.
We tried the pool and that wasn’t heated, but as it was a hot day, that was refreshing.
However, the spa was closed and from reading the sign, had been out of action for a while.
Would have been nice to be told of this when booking or even checking in as would have stayed elsewhere as we were looking forward to a relaxing spa.
On check in, I was asked did I want some milk for a cuppa? Why wasn’t it already in the room?
And a sign in the room saying that due to COVID, they no longer service rooms daily.
Boy, if we were staying longer than the nigh, I would have wanted the room serviced for the price.
But the worst was the TV which had constant pixelation and made it impossible to use.
As it wasn’t a smart TV, that made it unusable.
I honestly would have to look elsewhere to stay next time from this experience.
