After a long trip, we arrived 1.5 hours early. We asked if it was possible to check in early because we needed to use to restroom. We were informed we could not check in early, yet the young woman at the front desk asked if we would like to complete the paperwork for our room, while we were there. We did so. We asked if there was any way we could use a restroom, we were told no. We asked if she could point us in a direction for the closest restroom available. She said back in town. We ended up back in town at a restaurant to use a restroom. That night when walking the park across the street from the hotel, we found a restroom approximately 2.5 blocks from the hotel, when walking across the street and to the right. Much closer than walking back to the town area. Also, the doorknob to the door entering into the hotel room kitchenette was almost completely disassembled. Because of the tumbler for the key just turned and turned. Because of the helpfulness, poor professional interaction with the desk clerk, and her less than helpful personality, I took a knife from the unit's kitchenette and screwed the screws holding the doorknob back together so we could use the doorknob to access the hotel room again. I would not stay at this location again or recommend this hotel to another person due to the overpriced cost to purchase a room during the holidays, the condition of the property, and the lack of professional interaction with hotel staff.
