Pros:
The location of this apartment could not be better - 1-minute walk to Burleigh Beach and right across the road, there's an excellent cafe. You can find plenty of Lime bikes on the street to ride down to Burleigh Heads, where all the shops and restaurants are. Property managers are helpful and very friendly. Eric and Nikki are always so happy to help their guests. The apartment is spacious for 2 people.
Cons:
- As of March 2026, the light rail construction on Gold Coast Hwy is still on. Bring earplugs as it might get a bit noisy at night depending on whether your apartment is facing or closer to Gold Coast Hwy. They do carry out construction work during the week nights too.
- The apartment is a bit dated (nothing wrong with that) but everything inside works well, including full-equipped kitchen (remember to bring your own spices and kitchen paper towels if cooking).
- Somehow the apartment we had wasn't quite clean. The floor was dusty/sandy. We asked for a clean mop so we could give the floor a good mop. After sitting on the couch, we got itchy skin. We asked for an extra flat sheet to cover the couch so we were able to use the couch. We also got 1 or 2 cockroaches inside so asked the property manager for a bottle of insect spray. The balcony was dusty. I feel the cleaner probably only did a bare minimum clean after each check out.
Even with the cons, I would still recommend this property to others, especially when you want a self-contained apartment.
