Do yourself a favor; stay literally anywhere else
Hard to summarize briefly:
We booked Baymont only because other area hotels were full — a choice I deeply regret. The hotel was dimly lit and smelled of stale smoke upon arrival. Our room had a stale weed odor that hung in the warm air. The wall thermostat didn’t work, and the A/C unit cycled for 20 seconds, every few minutes without cooling the room.
The toilet didn’t flush, and there was a plunger beside it — clearly a known issue. The shower had NO running water - NONE!! We couldn’t use the lobby restroom either as it was also out of order. After a rough night with thin walls in which we could hear every bodily function of our neighbor, we reported the issues in the morning. The front desk was passive and unhelpful, suggesting a room change only after check-out time. When we returned later the next staff member was completely unaware and patronizing. I took over 90 minutes for maintenance to replace the shower faucet and reset the A/C.
Housekeeping never visited. Night two was much the same. The A/C still cycled inconsistently, and we barely slept again without a fan to drown the all-night noise from next door. Only on the final morning did the shower work — too little, too late. No apology, no compensation, and no real concern from staff.
I seriously question if it’s even legal to rent out a hotel room without a working toilet or shower. Avoid this property at all costs — the photos don’t match reality, and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish
