Lets start with the hot water for the shower, it was no existent until we reported it to the front desk. Then it was fixed but it only lasted one day. Then next thing was a verbal and physical fighting couple in the next room to us that lasted 2 nights of the stay.

Have stayed there several times in the past and where very satisfied. Always clean and comfortable. This time checked in and left for an off-site event. One thirty AM, exhausted came back to get some rest. Nice comfy King size bed. My wife and I immediately fell into a hole in the middle of the bed. Fitted sheet kept flying off the mattress. No matter which edge you tried to hang on yo ended up in the hole in the middle of the bed after two nights of rolling into the void our stay was over. On checkout the desk person's response was, the owner is aware, he's getting a new frame, that one is broken. Said it promoted snuggling. There were plenty of vacant rooms. If they knew that the bed was broken they shouldn't have booked it. Very disappointed probably our last stay there

I stayed here in Oct. 2021 and again in Oct. 2025. There was a noticeable drop in quality of stay in that time. The room was not clean. There were peanuts on the floor next to the nightstand and what looked like a piece of cracker or possibly breakfast cereal behind the door. I found several insects in the room, including a grasshopper. The furnishings are dated, which isn’t an issue for me, but they are really looking worn at this point. For some reason the floor lamp operated by the light switch next to the door was unplugged and I had to use the flashlight on my phone to find the on/off control for the next closest one which was over the tv. What this place has going for it is the location, which is awesome, and it’s inexpensive. I wouldn’t rule out staying here in the future, but I would check recent reviews to see if the downward trajectory I witnessed has been reversed.

They need updates on the mattresses, bed spreads were old and smelly. Both lampshades were all busted up. I loved the blue sink and tub but they were so filthy like they were never cleaned. I took pictures of the filthy tub. We had to go out and buy a bath mat so we wouldn't get some kind of disease. And the toilet needed tightened down because it rocked. This place could be very nice if it would be cleaned up in the inside.

Wasn’t very clean the mattress and pillows were horrible sink and tub didn’t drain very well,I will not be staying there anytime soon… The only thing good about it was walking distance to the shops ..

If you are expecting nice, average hotel like standards, this is not the motel for you. The rooms are styled with dated furniture, décor and bedding. Folger coffee cans serve as ashtrays outside of every door. BUT the rooms are moderately clean and sufficient enough for a short stay. The best feature is its location. Within a short walking distance to shops, restaurants and the museum. I chose this motel over a higher priced hotel in the area because I wanted to spend my money on eating out and other Gettysburg activities and because of where it was located. Staying here with that mindset helps being comfortable with the condition of the room.

There are several decent small motels in Gettysburg, unfortunately this was not one of them. We stayed here a few years ago and it wasn’t too bad. This time I we got a pretty crappy room. The mattress was old 10 years ago. There was no pad on the mattress, only a thin sheet. Mattress was also stained. (See pics) Bathroom was old and nasty. Tub was slippery, dangerous and didn’t drain. Will not be back here ever. Better bets are the Colton motel, Best Western or Quality Inn all on the same road.

This is a low budget but unbelievable clean and friendly place to stay. If you are exploring Gettysburg and just need a clean quiet place to stay that’s easy on the wallet this is it! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

I have a great experience at the hotel this weekend during Apple festival. Staff was friendly from the guy the checked me in to the 2 house keepers. My room was clean and smelled great. Great restaurants and shopping options in walking distance as well as the battlefield and visitors center. Transportation through the battlefield was available my only negative was my room was very close to a side street and they were doing construction this weekend which woke us up with the sounds of a jackhammer. .

The sheets were stretched out and wouldn’t remain in bed. It was gross sleeping on the mattress like that. There were stains and yuck. The floors were also dirty. My partner wore his socks around and they were brown after a few minutes. The place needs a deep clean. But love the location.
