First things first, 5 stars for the Hotels.com support team, 3 stars for the hotel facilities, 0 stars for their reception team.
The check-in process was horrendous. I requested a late check-in after seeing such an option being advertised on its Hotels.com page. Sent them a message 2 weeks in advance via Hotels.com, got a reply the following day asking for my contact details, which were already included in my reservation, so that they could send me the late check-in instructions. Anyways, I replied to them with my mobile phone number and email address.
On the day of check-in, I messaged the hotel on Hotels.com and called their number listed on Google Maps multiple times, asking for the late check-in instructions. No response was given, and no one answered the phone.
Eventually, I contacted Hotels.com support and requested help because the hotel was about to close its reception, according to their Hotels.com listing information, so I was worried that I might have no place to stay for the night. Thankfully, 20 minutes later, I got the late check-in instructions via text message from the hotel.
The hotel facilities are just what you can expect of an Ibis Budget: nothing fancy, but it's alright. Parking is conveniently available in front of the hotel. However, the price is ridiculous. How can it be way more expensive than other Ibid Budget hotels that are even closer to the Sydney city centre? I only stayed here for an experience, and I've learnt the lesson not to do it again
