We arrived very late, around 12:30 at night, after a long trip. Our stay was fully prepaid, with breakfast and minibar included. Even though, they asked foe a credit card pre-aurhorization. We offered SEVEN different credit cards (4 mine and 3 from my husband) and they were all declined. We said it was weird, because we had just used 2 of them and most of them have very high limits. They said it did not matter and if we sis not have them the money IN CASH, we would not be allowed to check in. Even though I had prepaid everything. I would loose the money and had to find another place at ONE IN THE MORNING. Seriously. They were very very rude. After half an hour that we were waiting, without a place to seat or even a glass of water,,they found out the OBVIOUS: the problem was in THEIR credit card machine. They NEVER said even sorry and still treated me like a criminal, even after they found out that the problem was with their machine.
I have NEVER been treated like that before, even in simple hotels.
DO NOT make the same mistake I did, DO NOT STAY THERE. There are a lot of nice hotels in the city and they do not deserve to have customers
