Hotel 50 Bowery NYC

We’ve stayed multiple times and they are always immaculate. Such a hidden gem in the city with beautiful views.

They were wonderful and when I left something in my room they went the extra mile to send it to me,

great boutique hotel. this was a staycation for change of scenery since can't travel. the staff always observed safety precautions and were absolutely amazing. every single person I saw was friendly and invested in making sure I had what I needed. the rooms are incredibly spacious for NY. can't beat sun rise over the Manhattan Bridge! I loved that the gym remained open with the appropriate safety precautions in place. And there were plenty of places within the hotel to hangout from the lounge with it's mini history museum of Chinatown or the rooftop restaurant and lounge (which I took advantage of on these fall like weather days). all in all, Hotel 50 was a great value. Ive already recommended to friends!

Amazing. Great service at front desk (except for one incident with an angry young man; overridden by manager); beautiful view from our 15th floor corner room with city view; love that the breakfast package gets the breakfast from a local mom and pop coffee shop. Was delicious and the owner is super sweet! Best, thanks for welcoming dogs!!! He’s a part of our family and we don’t travel without him.

Clean, beautiful view from corner room on 15th floor. Parking promo was a great deal. Hotel breakfast deal with local coffee shop: EXCELLENT food and THANK YOU to the hotel for supporting a small, local, mom and pop business!!! Cleaning staff was SO FRIENDLY and HELPFUL. Kudos to those women. Desk staff mostly fantastic, only one person who needs lessons in hospitality; really was unnecessary. If you can't be nice and patient, you are in the wrong business. Other that him, all of the front desk staff was EXEMPLARY. I know people are stressed by the pandemic, but we are all in this together. Be nice! We chose this hotel so that we could support our local economy; I don't need to get attitude when I am on my staycation. Finally, LOVE that you are pet friendly. Pets are part of people's families. So glad your organization recognizes that reality.

The walls are too thin. My friends and I were just having a good time and security was called on us. But overall we had a great time.

Hotel service and room was fine. One thing that killed my entire stay was the fact that I had ordered some food from Uber eats a d they didn’t provide any utensils. I went to the frog fest to try and get some and they had none. Which probably was t too bad, but this was after midnight so I had to go find a bodega to just get utensils to eat food I’d ordered. Other than that clean room, nice city view and pretty comfortable. They television makes no sense, don’t even bother turning it on. They didn’t even have any streaming services. Overall good stay, just some minor issues. If none of my issues would bother you then I’d say go for it.

City view window is smaller than the bridge, that upset me

There was an issue at check in regarding processing my reservation. The staff, including the supervisor on duty, worked diligently to resolve it. It took around an hour to fix, but they went beyond what I would have expected for an apology. The room was small-ish, but larger than those in Times Square but not as large as other properties a little further up in Manhattan. That being said, the bed was comfortable, the shower hot and the elevators moved quickly. Also, in this COVID world, I was pleased to see sanitizer throughout the property and all staff had on masks . The location was nice. It is right by the Manhattan bridge and is in the heart of Chinatown. The view from the top floors is absolutely breathtaking.

From the moment we arrived, we knew that we picked the right hotel. Friendly, welcoming hotel staff made our check-in quick and seamless. The room was phenomenal. It was extremely clean and well-kept. Our room was on the 20th floor and we had a gorgeous view of the city through the large windows that went floor to ceiling on two of the four sides of the room. The beds were very comfortable! The area was convenient to either Canal St station or Grand St station (about a 5-7 min walk to either). Chinatown provides countless options for authentic Shanghai cuisine and unique shops. We walked over the Manhattan Bridge and back over on the Brooklyn Bridge - a convenient option for those looking for exercise or just a nice sight-seeing adventure. Everything about Hotel 50 Bowery was exceptional. We’d definitely stay here again! Thank you!
