We arrived a little early for check in (3:15ish- check in was at 4). We were told our room wasn’t ready. Not a big deal, we just sat in the lobby. After watching MANY MANY people check in, as well as 45 minutes later (which was check in time) we went to the front desk to ask about our room because we heard other people checking into the same type of room as ours (king bed). We were told NO- still not ready. We waited another 15-20 minutes and went to the desk AGAIN to follow up - STILL NOT READY! By now it had almost been an hour and a half waiting. We were never rude, or hateful… but we were getting frustrated. A management lady came out and apologized and gave us extra points on our point acct and comped our breakfast the next morning (which we appreciated). Shortly thereafter, our room was ready.
The room was nice and clean.
Staffing seemed to be short on help. The employees at the “restaurant “ were single employees and were working both the kitchen & drink areas. Making for wait times for that as well. They were working SO HARD, I felt sorry for them because you could tell they were working as quickly as they could but it was still a lengthy wait.
Then their computer systems went down and we couldn’t get any food/drinks lol
All in all, it wasn’t a big ordeal. We would stay there again because of the easy access to the civic center!! They were nice, rooms were nice, just seemed to be understaffed. :)
