Gave 3 stars because front desk staff was courteous, professional, and informative. Otherwise, would have rated 2 stars. I booked a Queen Smoking room. Was given room 219.
It was acceptable (barely) to me because I didnt want to go thru the trouble of arguing for a refund and finding anothe hotel. That would have ruined my weekend.
The room was not the same from the pictures.
Paint on was completely different. Not the biggest deal, but why show a different There's paintjob? There was no bathtub. Again, not the worst but im pretty sure the info stated it had one. Here's the big ssues:
The security latch on door was loose so didnt even work to stop door from opening when engaged (deadbolt worked fine though).
Shower curtain had a dead bug on it and hair on wall.
Worst of all, there were stains on the sheets. The window curtain on had a cigarette hole and was partially off the curtain rod.
There were stains on the sheets.
AC/heater had broken vents and was dirty/dusty.
I will not stay at a Motel 6 again unless I have no other option. Especially this one in Long Beach. Next time, I'll probably pay a bit more and stay at Hotel Mai when attending events at or near the Queen Mary unless maybe I get a partial refund to match what I'd have paid at lesser quality hotels that my room felt like. Dissapointed. But again, at least front desk staff were courteous and professional.
