The hotel is what I expected for the price. There was a musty smell in the hallways and in the room but it got better in the room when the AC was on. The staff were nice.

Staff was lovely, very accommodating. Hotel itself was older, a little run down, very budget friendly. We slept well, beds were comfortable. Breakfast options were simple, cold cereal, oatmeal packets, fruit cups, mini muffins. Only hot options were waffles & toast. No tea or coffee stations in the lobby, only available during breakfast hours. Decent place to spend one night.

Front desk staff were very nice. Easy to park and load in. It’s located near major highway, and conveniently there’s a strip of stores and places to eat that are open very late. The only clean part of the room I stayed in was the toilet and the bed. The tub was moldy and falling apart, the sink had unknown residue, the rug had ants and dried up food stains, the wall had two holes kicked in. If the bed wasn’t pristine, and I wasn’t sleeping here for more than 6 hours, I would’ve walked out. I can usually tolerate when things are slightly disheveled, but quite honestly no one should be paying over a hundred dollars to make sure every last ant is dead before going to bed.

We had reservations for the handicapped room. Upon checking in the room smelled terribly and the shower was covered in mold. I went down to the desk to ask for a different room. They did give us a different room. There was no luggage cart and I had to carry my luggage down a long hallway that had stairs. The room was better but not good. The continental breakfast they provided was not well maintained. They were out of coffee and and other beverages. The room was not very clean and staff made no attempt to fill anything. I would definitely avoid this establishment!!!!!

The room had not been cleaned properly. There was trash in one of the waste baskets and a bottle cap and debris on the windowsill. The grout around the tub in the bathroom was discolored. The toiletries were mismatched items, and I could not be certain they hadn't been used. In the refrigerator there was something that appeared to be mold. I did not investigate. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and I slept well.

The hotel worked as a last minute stay, but I would not choose it again on purpose. The breakfast food was not prepared well. The staff was confusing and I could not understand him. The only good part was that the room itself was clean. Good job cleaning person.

The Days Inn at Augusta is well situated off Route 95. The reception area is conveniently located in the entrance to the building. We had to ring the bell for the manager who was very nice and helpful, but also busy looking after his adorable toddler. My room was on the first level, down about 5 steps and near the manager's accommodation from which were emanating the most delicious smells of Indian curry. By this time, I was ready for a curry, but I was satisfied with a delicious Mexican meal at a really fun Mexican Restaurant, right across the street and within walking distance. The bed and bath were comfortable and clean. The breakfast room is not appealing -- it's in a separate room with the usual choice of cereals, bagels and coffee -- all do-it-yourself. Although the capital city of Maine, Augusta is a small iconic New England locale. Downtown Augusta and Hallowell are within a short driver and offer a selection of restaurants for breakfast and lunch.

Good value for the money. Very polite and professional staff. Not the ritz, but clean large rooms. The AC was nice and cold, the water pressure and hot water was great. Good location in good area. Ample parking. If you need an inexpensive room but be clean and safe, great place.

Pretty standard hotel/motel. The staff was marginal, first gave me a key for an occupied room, didn't seem to realize the room was on an extended rental but did give me another room without apology or any response. Needed additional towels, two small towels per room, so I and another guest, who had four in her party, asked for more towels which seemed like an inconvenience to the staff. Relatively inexpensive but in this case quality matched price.

We checked in and immediately left without staying. Our room was filthy on arrival, the bathtub alone had dozens of dead bugs which clearly had been there for days. We weren’t expecting a luxury experience, but we were so disgusted we ended up driving home.

The cleanliness is awful. The first room they assigned me wasn't cleaned when I went to bed; it was covered in dog hair and stank. They moved us to another room, and this morning before checking out, we had fleas jumping all over us. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The hotel had various strong odors this trip ,particularly cigarettes smoke in the lobby and my room. It also overwhelmingly smelled like a kitchen with lots of cooking going on. Room was clean but needs updating The friendly staff is a bonus. Its a mediocre place but price is good! I like this one better than the super 8 across the street
