The foods and the ski hire basically saved the whole hotel. The people at the reception didnāt do anything to help us and clearly expressed they didnāt want to involve in anything more complicated than showing us the dining hall.
1. Transportation: we asked if they can assist us in booking a transportation to the airport. They immediately refused, āWe donāt do that hereā even after we explained the mobile service didnāt work in the area, and after acknowledging that they still replied, āYou can go up to Perisherā. We also told them we didnāt drive they said they didnāt do that here.
2. I have a small wound that needed to be cleansed so we asked if they have a first aid kit or help us in some way. Both of them replied, āWe have the kit but weāre not allowed to give you anything.ā and offered no further explanation. A young staff told us to go to the pharmacy in town and again we said we didnāt have a car and itās already 8PM so no shuttle to Perisher. She repeated, āOh ok we are not allowed to give you anythingā
3. We needed to cash out and fully understand the maximum is $100/time/person. So we, a group of 5 adults with 5 cards, asked if we could cash out $300, they refused, āWe canāt let you do thatā. So we couldnāt even get $100.
Even the drivers were more helpful to us. We never asked for anything out of order or illegal but they treated us as if we violated some laws. Is this racist, because I saw them help other families, or simply unhelpful, we never know?
