Well, being that there were definitely some shady (though polite) characters outside, the elevator smelled strongly of cigarettes, the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke masked by seeming gallons of pine sol freshly drizzled, the foam pillows were as brittle as if purchased from Kmart in 1996, and there appeared to be some sort of dried splatter (not unlike blood but not certainly the contents of a sauce packet) on one of the wall lampshades, I wasn't expecting to get much sleep.
However, I was pleasantly surprised. Though the walls were thin and the mattress wasn't the most supportive- I was not tremendously disturbed by outside noise and the linens were indeed squeaky clean. It was a fine place to lay my head, and much finer than listening to my mother's snoring where the rest of my family stayed.
