Fantastic Riad to stay in - decorated beautifully and stunning interior, but with great amenities too. Perfect blend of tradition and modern comforts. Staff were lovely - so welcoming and friendly. Beautiful rooftop terrace for meals, with an incredible breakfast selection provided every morning. Well sign-posted in the medina too, so that together with Google maps makes it reasonably easy to find in the labyrinth that is Fes’ old city - plus, only a 5 minute walk to Rcif Place - which is a good spot for pick-ups/drop-offs, and a 10 minute walk to the Blue Gate. A brilliant place to stay - would definitely come again.

Breakfast great. Pool tiny and closes early (7pm). We arrived late in evening and had a planned tour the next morning with Get Your Guide. The owner called us and tried to get us to go with him because he said it's free and included with the stay. We kept our tour because it was non refundable. Not sure how the owner's tour would have been. Staff meet you in center to help you find the Riad which is important. Once you know how to get there, it's easy to get in and out because the signs are clear. Once you know, you know! They also had dinner which was good and they were accommodating for my husband's upset stomach (he brought a bug from Spain, did not get sick in Morocco.) All in all, a good experience.

An amazing house with stunning decorations and city views. A fantastic place, very impressive. Breakfast and dinner are great. Turkish bath is fun. Everything is perfect. Love to visit again.

The facilities at Riad Rcif are absolutely breathtaking. Feels like staying in a (very comfortable) museum. Also the best A/C and best showers we had in all of Morocco. I normally don’t like pushy help, but the owner’s insistence that we eat at the nearby restaurant and use his volunteer guides was invaluable. I never have trouble navigating new spaces, but the medina is insanely easy to get lost in.

Pros- rooms are clean, riad is magnificent and beautiful, the staff is wonderful & kind. Cons- the Medina in Fes is a hard one to navigate making one wrong turn literally add to the complication. While it is only five minutes from the gate, that is five minutes if you already know the streets. As a solo traveler, it’s really important for me to able to move with some degree of ease. I’m not expecting second nature but nothing should be this hard. There were also a few instances that the communication I thought was clear was indeed not leaving me to navigate to the riad at midnight alone. Not impossible but not ideal. Overall though, the accommodations are beautiful, the room was clean and inviting, and the staff was great

We followed our porter through the twilit twisting streets of the Medina for some time before they opened the door to this incredibly opulent Riad! What a gem with ornate and detail-oriented renovated rooms that restored the splendour of this old house. Food was delicious on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Medina. Host was gracious and staff made us feel at home. We wandered through the Medina the next day and it was a true Moroccan experience. Would highly recommend!

It's buried in the heart of the Medina and therefore difficult to access. The service was fairly poor with the manager sleeping at checkout time. We also weren't shown to our room but left in the reception area drinking the complementary tea upon arrival. The upstairs terrace for breakfast is good.

Amazing hotel, only couple of flaws

Beautiful hotel, like staying in a royal palace. Staff was amazing, took care of every request. Huge rooms, hot water, comfortable bed. Our only complaints were the lighting is very dim in the rooms, and our shower had only 1/4 of a glass door so it was very difficult to not get water all over the floor. Location is well marked but still very easy to get lost in the medina of fes, be prepared and dont get hustled by locals for help finding the place, call the hotel or text on whatsapp and they will make sure you get what you need or come and meet you… Also amazing view from rooftop terrace of entire old city, and great breakfast included

The riad is absolutely beautiful on the inside, with stunning mosaics and traditional Moroccan decor. The swimming pool is lovely and adds to the charm of the place. The staff were very kind and accommodating throughout my stay. While the location inside the Medina is picturesque, it can be a bit inconvenient—GPS doesn’t work well in the narrow alleys. However, the riad does help by sending local young men to guide you to and from the property, which is incredibly helpful (be sure to tip them). If you have early excursions, they’ll even prepare a takeaway breakfast for you, which is a thoughtful touch. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well—much better than other places I’ve stayed in Morocco. Overall, I definitely recommend this riad for its beauty, comfort, and hospitality. Just be prepared for a little navigating in and out of the Medina.

Exceptional Hospitality from Aymane

Riad Rcif in Fez, Morocco is a true gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious and authentic Moroccan experience. From the moment you step through the door, you are transported to a serene oasis that is beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan furnishings and artwork. The Riad's courtyard is especially breathtaking, with its tranquil pool and lush greenery that creates a peaceful atmosphere. One of the standout features of Riad Rcif is its excellent staff, who go above and beyond to ensure that guests have an enjoyable stay. In particular, Aymane is a member of staff who truly stands out. He is an exceptional host who greets guests with a warm smile and provides helpful recommendations on places to see and things to do in Fez. Aymane is dedicated to making guests feel comfortable and at home, and his attention to detail is evident in the small touches that he adds to each guest's experience. Overall, I highly recommend Riad Rcif to anyone visiting Fez. Its beautiful architecture, stunning decor, and exceptional staff make for an unforgettable stay. And with Aymane as a part of the team, you are sure to be well taken care of and made to feel right at home.

Unique stay in the heart of the Medina!

We had an incredible stay at Riad Rcif. Finding the Riad is a bit overwhelming at first as the Medina is chaotic and tight. Keep your head up and you’ll eventually see signs for Riad Rcif and Alif, which are sister properties. Follow these signs! Don’t let people try to guide you as they will ask for money. The signs are very clearly laid out, thank you to the hotel team! The sign “Place Rcif” take you back out of the Medina. Once you find the Riad….it’s even better than the photos, which is rare! The site is gorgeous, but the best part are the staff working there - they are so warm, helpful and kind. Hassan helped us with finding the parking lot, Ayman was always available for restaurant recommendations and the whole team (including their younger friend whose name we missed) were always smiling and making our days better, especially at breakfast! Props to the team. It’s important to manage your expectations when booking any Riad in the Medina - it’s loud, old and confusing. If you’re okay with this, you’ll have an incredible time exploring! A word of caution about the tour guide the hotel recommends - it is a commercial tour. This was interesting, as we saw leather, copper, weaving, ceramic districts etc, but may not be for everyone. The tour is 250MAD for 4 people for 3 hours, but he also gets you to pay 160MAD in advance to cover your “entrance fees”. Parking is ~10min walk, 30MAD/day. Lovely attendants and we felt totally safe leaving our car there.

Riad top! Staff incrível!

A minha estadia no hotel foi muito agradável, no entanto para se chegar ao hotel é impossível e por isso é melhor combinar com o Riad Rcif um ponto de encontro (Place Rcif) para eles nos irem buscar pois as ruas são confusas e podem ser assustadoras. O staff é espetacular e quero agradecer em especial ao Joseph, pois sem ele e a sua equipa, a estadia não tinha corrido tão bem como correu. Sem duvida um Riad que aconselho!

Beautiful room and bathroom. The REAL moroccan riad experience. Great staff who are really kind and helpful. The owner id grest in English. Good breakfast with a wide selection and GREAT orange juice! Would recommend. Also a plus that there are signs on the walls in the medina to the riad, because those 9000+ streets were not the easiest to navigate!

It was almost horrible moment. I prayed everything goes well. Our taxi driver brought us totally different hotel after calling Riad rcif and they asked me just seat down inside. The owner of the other hotel explained the family of Riad rcif get covid 19 so we have to stay her hotel. I didn t have any e mail or message from Riad rcif. They just showed me thier whatsapp message from Riad rcif. There was no way to do. One thing that i could do is believe and follow them. Fortunately the owner (Riad fes maya) is really kind and speaks English perfectly. We finally enjoyed our stay in her hotel because of her(and also her hotel is beautiful). But it was still horrible memory to following stranger and did t get any news from Riad rcif ( for the double checking i sent an e mail to them and got a reply after two hours.) Furthermore it is funny that in the hotels.com still i can make a reservation tonight in Riad rcif. They should explain their customer before booking(or at least before check-in). I am sure they are still getting a covid and no one can t stay their hotel like us.
