Two tier treatment depending on whether one booked with hotel direct or through a travel site. I'd stayed here 4 times previously and each occasion booked directly with hotel. This time I booked with hotels.com which meant no free parking and no free bottle of cava.( not that I drink it). And charging for the room safe , it's 2025. I booked half board as I had done in the past and was able to change to lunch if we decided to go out at night, not this time. 3 different staff members gave me 3 different instructions on what I had to request and when, the 3rd just said it was not possible. When I asked why she said it had stopped being their policy that morning. By the way totally not suitable for anyone with a mobility issue. All up a hill with it being steps 2 thirds of the way of a distance of 200 metres. A dirty towel lay at my balcony for the eight nights I stayed, reported twice but still there when we departed.But the real icing on the cake was the restaurant. Food was varied as always and I honestly couldn't fault it. But bottles of vodka at the breakfast bar within the reach of kids, come on. 4th morning my wife called me from the coffee machine to watch Mr mouse popping his head out from under the breakfast bar( I'm hoping it was just a mouse). The nearest member of staff just carried on with her duties. Definitely not 4* anymore and I've told them that and suggested a few 4* hotels to compare with.
