When we arrived, the hotel itself was beautiful, and check-in was quick and easy. The staff treated us exceptionally well, which really set a positive tone. Unfortunately, when we first got to our room, there was a very strong, foul smell that we couldn’t tolerate. We contacted the front desk, and they promptly relocated us to another room without any issue, which we truly appreciated. The new room was beautiful, clean, and the beds were very comfortable.
The swimming pool was by far our favorite part of the stay, especially with kids — it was a highlight of the entire weekend. However, if you’re traveling with children, it’s important to know that the arcade is not free. It only includes Xbox and Nintendo Switch games, and those also require payment, which was disappointing.
Food options were another challenge. All dining is located within the hotel and is quite pricey. We stayed the entire weekend and had to drive over 20 minutes just to find food outside of what the hotel offered. As a family of four, eating restaurant food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be difficult and adds up quickly. That said, the coffee shop downstairs was excellent — the coffee was delicious and definitely a plus.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful with great staff and amenities, but families should plan ahead for food costs and entertainment expectations.
