First, the young lady who checked us in was amazing and helpful. She tried to fix things for us.
Second, the hotel should have explained that it was being renovated. We knew the pool was closed for renovations. The lobby was not "complete". It just did not look like it was ready to be open. The pictures on the website were misleading. "City view"...there was no city view from any room. Except the highway and parking lot.
Third, our first 2 rooms that we reserved...well, to put it simple, it looked like the room floors were either never cleaned or was cleaned with dirty water. We went down to the friendly young lady to talk about it. She said there was no cleaning service there, as they left for the day (granted it was around 4:00 pm that we arrived). She did ask if we wanted to talk to the manager. I just asked for another 2 rooms. She did that for us.
Fourth, our second set of 2 rooms were the same. Dirty floors. Not as bad as the first set of 2 rooms, but still not something that I wanted to walk on, especially for the kids. We gave up at this point, and took a few of the wash clothes and basically wiped the floors of both rooms with them. Aurgh. Yes, we should have just asked for our money back or something....but we did not want to uproot our whole plan for the day. And who knows if we would have found a hotel last minute.
Fifth, the T.V. in our room was not hooked up to the satellite.
