This was hands down one of the worst cheap hotel experiences we’ve had. Not only was the hotel itself dirty and extremely poor in quality, but we were also charged the full amount AGAIN at checkout by manually adding our card number, even though our stay had been fully prepaid through Hotels.com.
I called to get it resolved, and the first representative claimed there was only a $10 incidental charge. That was false ~ I was staring at a charge of over $120 on my card. When I called back, the next rep was incredibly unprofessional ~ she even put me on speakerphone without asking, and I had to request she take me off speaker. She promised to call me back with no call back.
When I followed up again, another rep casually told me they were “trying to figure it out” but had “other jobs to do,” and couldn’t tell me whether they’d get back to me today, tomorrow, or ever. It was clear they had no urgency and no respect for the fact that they were holding my money.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. It’s dirty, mismanaged, and clearly has no concern for their guests. Charging customers twice and brushing it off like it’s no big deal is absolutely unacceptable.
