Review – $800 per night
Stayed: 2 adults, 2 children (ages 11 and 15), 1 week
Overall, the hotel offers a great location in Manhattan, with the added bonus of a fantastic jazz bar inside and spacious rooms. The restaurant on the ground floor was also very nice and convenient.
However, there were several drawbacks. Our room was extremely dark, with only a small 1-meter window, which made it feel quite enclosed. There was a strange odor on the 9th floor, where our room was located — we noticed the same smell even while passing other rooms in the elevator area.
Noise was another issue. Mornings were particularly loud, with sounds of people walking through the hallways and taking showers easily heard due to the thin walls. The hotel overall felt a bit dated.
Additionally, we were disappointed that our 15-year-old son was not allowed to join us for a drink at the rooftop bar during the 5–6 pm hour, even though he would have had a non-alcoholic beverage. On top of that, we had to wait in line with other tourists to enter the bar, which was inconvenient
