To whom it may concern, My wife and I stayed at the Shangri-La hotel this past weekend. Our stay went fairly well, however, there were a few minor mishaps that we were surprised with during our stay. Firstly, we had requested a premier room. Upon check-in the hotel was kind enough to provide us with an upgrade to a one bedroom suite. However, when entering the room we realized we'd prefer the premier (as originally requested); as we really wanted the bathroom with a view. We were lucky to secure a premier room on the 7th floor. Due to the change in rooms, the IPAD in our (new) room was not set up until the second day of our stay. Secondly, we couldn't operate the weight scale in the bathroom as it was showing low battery. Thirdly, the automated drapes seemed to have some issues. When we closed them at night, they would re-open. We had to play around with the buttons and hold them down to keep the curtains closed. Lastly, the coffee machine in our room stopped working the morning we were departing. We would put a coffee pod into the machine and only hot water would come out. We tried a couple of times and it was still the same. This was our first stay at the Shangri-La, we had actually come to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are welcoming and eager to please. We just wanted to pass on these notes for your awareness. We hope you can make our next stay even better.
Gorgeous hotel. Attentive, personalized service from staff. Enjoyed a post dinner drink in the outdoor patio. Even during Covid it was a lovely getaway.
Beautiful jacuzzi tub. Staff was great and answered all our questions. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff had left a cheeseplate with snacks and a sweet message in our room.
Extremely clean Great views Rooms were high-tech and designed very well
The property was beautiful and had a very hype lobby with live music and a bar to make the stay at the hotel even more fun.

My husband and I were spending a much weekend weekend away just us two, lets and let’s at home! We were celebrating my recent promotion at work and a late Valentine’s Day. We chose the Shangri-la based on outstanding reviews and the look of the hotel. Yes, our expectations were high knowing that it is a 5-star hotel. The minute we walked in we were blown away using one word: luxury. Now is where I expected the 5-star service to come into play. My first observation was that there was no door man/woman to direct you to the check in desk. We found it easily, I just thought it would be a nice touch especially for people tired from traveling. The gentleman checking us in was polite, however I took immediate note of the covered water and covered glasses at our private check in booth, and he did not offer us any or offer us to at least help ourselves. He also failed to tell us about the incidentals charge that would be put on our credit card (we pre paid for the room itself already). After checking in we immediately got notification on our phones of the charge and had to seek out assistance to explain what this. A small, but easily avoidable inconvience for us as 5-star guests. He did provide a brief overview of the hotel and asked if we wanted to be escorted to our room and go ourselves - I did appreciate the respect for privacy. He did also say he upgraded our room, but I do not believe this was the case. Given that we told him we were celebrating my
